Getting Started with NarodGPT

A step-by-step guide to setting up your AI assistant

1. Create Your Account

To get started with NarodGPT, you'll need to create an account:

  1. Click the "Get Started" or "Sign Up" button on the homepage
  2. Enter your email address and create a password
  3. Verify your email address using the 6-digit code sent to your inbox
  4. Complete your profile by adding your name and organization details

2. Upload Your Knowledge Base

The knowledge base is what makes your AI assistant smart and specific to your business:

  1. Go to the Knowledge Base tab in your dashboard
  2. Click "Upload Knowledge" to add PDF or text files
  3. Alternatively, use "Add Text Knowledge" to directly input information
  4. Give each knowledge item a descriptive title
  5. Wait for processing to complete (larger files may take a few minutes)

Tips for Effective Knowledge Base

  • Include FAQs, product information, policies, and common procedures
  • Use clear, well-structured content for better AI understanding
  • Break large documents into smaller, focused files
  • Update your knowledge base regularly to keep information current
  • Test your AI with common questions to verify knowledge retrieval

3. Configure Crisp Integration

Connect NarodGPT to your Crisp chat system:

  1. Go to your dashboard and click "Configure Crisp Integration"
  2. Enter your Crisp Website ID (found in Crisp dashboard under Settings → Website Settings)
  3. Copy the webhook URL from NarodGPT
  4. In your Crisp dashboard, go to Settings → Integrations → Webhooks
  5. Add the webhook URL and select the "message:send" event
  6. Save the configuration

4. Customize AI Settings

Tailor your AI assistant's behavior to match your brand voice:

  1. Go to AI Settings in your dashboard
  2. Customize the system prompt to define your AI's personality and behavior
  3. Adjust response length (short/medium/long) based on your preferences
  4. Set creativity level to control response variability
  5. Customize fallback messages for error handling
  6. PRO/ENTERPRISE users: Configure advanced settings like personality type, tone, and language

If you don't know something, politely say so and offer to connect the customer with a human agent.

5. Test Your AI Assistant

Before going live, test your AI to ensure it's working correctly:

  1. Click "Test Your Bot" in your dashboard
  2. Ask questions that customers might ask
  3. Verify that the AI provides accurate, helpful responses
  4. Check if the AI correctly uses your knowledge base
  5. Make adjustments to your knowledge base or AI settings as needed

6. Go Live

Once you're satisfied with your AI assistant's performance:

  1. Ensure your Crisp chat widget is installed on your website
  2. Monitor initial conversations to ensure quality
  3. Consider adding a message in your Crisp welcome message to let customers know they're talking to an AI
  4. Regularly review conversations to identify areas for improvement
  5. Update your knowledge base as needed to improve responses
